Romania Node

General Overview of the Node
The Romania Node of the Millennium Project was officially set up on December 30, 2011.

The Node includes a very important group of experienced Romanian professionals and academics, as well as young and talented experts.

Node Chair is Adrian Pop, Professor of International Relations with the Faculty of Political Sciences at the National School for Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest.

The Romania Node seeks to address new areas of inquiry and interdisciplinary explorations of innovative topics, concepts and methodologies related to the future of mankind, especially in the fields of International Relations, European Studies, Geopolitics and Security Studies. It is particularly interested in the new factors and emerging actors which shape the economic, political, security and cultural international agenda and the global, regional and local polity, with a special focus on South-East Europe and wider Black Sea region.


The Node Chair, Professor Adrian Pop, has been involved with the Millennium Project activities since 1999. In 2010, he supervised and coordinated the translation and publication into Romanian of 2010 State of the Future.
