Report presented at the Planning Committee Meeting in February 2003, Washington, DC.

Rosa Alegria, from The Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, co-chair of the node, represented the Brazil Node at the Millennium Project Planning Committee meeting in February 13-14, 2003, in Washington, DC.

Mrs. Alegria presented the new Brazilian government's policy and the importance that Futures Studies has in this context, and the work of Nucleo de Estudos do Futuro (NEF) that works under the ausipces of  The Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP).

Arnoldo José de  Hoyos, from The Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, co-chair of the node, represented the Brazil Node at the Millennium Project Planning Committee meeting in July 17-18, San Francisco, CA.

Dr. de Hoyos presented the new developments concerning Brazilian government's policy, the importance given to environment and poverty aleviation, and new work of Nucleo de Estudos do Futuro (NEF).
