Brussels-Area Node

The Destree Institute, Namur (Wallonia, Belgium), a think tank acting in the fields of Research, Information Society, Foresight and Citizenship, hosts the Brussels-Area Node since September 2003. Built with European and transregional partners, the Brussels Area Node also takes on EC Liaison with the Millennium Project.

2010 Activities

From "Information Transfer 2008" to "Knowledge Process 2011", Millennia2015, a plan of action for women's empowerment at the horizon 2025

Millennia2015 organizes the worldwide and multilingual Millennia2015 KP2010 foresight exercise based on the 37 variables identified in the IT2010 knowledge database, launched by the UNESCO on the 6 December 2010 in Paris: all the contribution and its results will be collected and analyzed to prepare Millennia2015 KP2011 Action Plan to be presented during Millennia2015 second international conference at the UNESCO in December 2011.

Developments to Improve the Status of Women--Global Experts Study (using Real Time Delphi)

Millennia2015, Women as actors of development for the global challenges Organized under the high patronage of the UNESCO, Millennia2015 "Women actors of development for the global challenges" is a foresight research process launched by The Destree Institute and its international partners in 2007. The process is structured through three international conferences: "Information Transfer" (IT) in Liege in 2008, "Knowledge Process" (KP) at the UNESCO in Paris in 2011 and "Intelligence Platform" (IP) at the United Nations in New York in 2015.
