housing is found at a number of Capitol Hill locations that make it easy
for students to access the excitement and charm of life in Washington,
DC. Two basic living arrangements exist:
* Apartments accommodate two to six interns and have single, double,
or triple bedrooms
* Town homes or row houses offer shared or private rooms and shared
common spaces
Costs range from $700 to $975 per month based on living arrangement.

BOSTON UNIVERSITY: Washington Center
Located at 2807 Connecticut Avenue, NW, The Washington Center also
provides housing for students participating in Penn's Washington Semester
program during the academic year. The license fee for individuals wishing
to share a double room for summer 2000 is $180/per week, per person with
a minimum stay of eight weeks. Single rooms may be requested for an additional
$50/week. The license fee includes all utilities including telephone, cable,
and access to a computer room. To reserve housing, a non-refundable deposit
of $300.
The Center does not maintain a website regarding summer housing, Career
Services has a limited number of applications available at the front desk.

The Catholic University of America offers a wide variety of housing
options for guests. Residence hall rooms are single- and double-occupancy.
All rooms are furnished with twin bed(s), desks, chairs and closets or
bureaus. Both air conditioned and non-air conditioned residence halls are
available. There are common, single-gender bathrooms on each floor.
Study areas, vending machines and lounges with televisions are available

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT HOUSING:
The rates at the International Student House include breakfast and
dinner daily, excluding dinner on Saturdays. No rebate is given for meals
not taken at the House. There are no cooking facilities for residents,
and cooking is not allowed in the rooms. All rooms are furnished with desk,
chair, lamp, single bed, dresser and bookcase. Heating, air-conditioning
and 13 meals weekly are included in the rates. A one-time bed linen set-up
charge of $15 and an activity fee of $60 (long term) or $40 (short term)
will be assessed on your first invoice. The activity fee is annually renewable.
Residents may bring their own towels, or buy them from the House. In shared
rooms, students do not choose their roommates, who will normally be from
different countries. Men and women live in separate quarters and have
separate bathrooms. Rooms do not have private bathrooms unless specified.
