Objective:
Spread long-term thinking through the design, formulation and execution of public policies, plans, programs and prospective projects and support for the activities proposed by the Millennium Project and the Iberomarican Prospective Network (RIBER).
Recent activities:
- Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social de Costa Rica (CCSS) developed the CCSS Strategic Monitoring Model.
- Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje (INA) is currently developing the study “The Future of Work or the Work of the Future in Strategic Productive Sectors for INA in Costa Rica toward 2037”.
- Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica (UNED) is currently developing the study ” Future and Updating of the Relevance of Academic Offerings (FARO)”.
- Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica (UNA) is currently developing a series of territorial assessments using a foresight approach.
- Ministerio de Planificación Nacional y Política Económica de Costa Rica (MIDEPLAN) is currently developing the study “PEN 2050:
- Analysis of the Degree of Progress of the Plan in National Targets, Gaps, and Milestones by Development Hubs.
- Costa Rica Node is preparing its 2026-2027 agenda, including a series of dialogue sessions on foresight, a research project, and virtual training activities.
