Europe was once the workshop of the world, but more and more of what we use every day is now produced elsewhere. What does that leave European industry with, and what futures of making are possible here?
The Foresight Europe Network (FEN) invites members and external foresight practitioners to join the upcoming FEN Exchange on November 12, 2026, from 16:00-17:00 CET. Participants will look at the megatrends shaping manufacturing, from technological change and the energy transition to shifting supply chains and demographics.
After a short input from Ardeshir Sayah from the Business Advantage Group on their latest megatrend research, participants will collectively imagine possible futures of making. Both FEN members and non-members are welcome to join the discussion.
FEN Exchanges are monthly thematic meetings held every second Thursday of the month at 4:00 p.m. CET/CEST for one hour. These sessions offer an open space to connect, share updates, and explore key European foresight topics using futures and related methods.
FEN is an open network of individuals active in futures and foresight research, education, and practice across Europe, serving as one of the regional networks of The Millennium Project.
