In this wide-ranging interview on October 29, 2025, produced within the Future Narratives Project, Jerome C. Glenn reflects on more than five decades of futures research, the shift from elite foresight to participatory approaches, and the value of scenarios and the futures wheel for understanding complex, interconnected consequences. The conversation addresses major global challenges, including AGI governance, collective intelligence, ethics, climate change, and the role of storytelling in linking present decisions to plausible futures.
The interview was conducted by Traces & Dreams, an organization working at the intersection of culture, creativity, and social innovation, with the Future Narratives project, a strategic partnership between six organizations across Europe, co-funded by Erasmus+, aimed at fostering innovation and participatory practices in the youth field.
