The Spanish‑language edition of Futures Research Methodology Version 3.0 is now available on the official Millennium Project website, marking a major milestone in expanding access to one of the most comprehensive resources in futures studies.
Originally published in English in 2009, Futures Research Methodology 3.0 is a globally peer‑reviewed handbook that brings together 39 chapters and about 1,300 pages of methods and tools for exploring future possibilities, designed for researchers, policymakers, and foresight practitioners worldwide.
Edited by futurists Jerome C. Glenn and Theodore J. Gordon, this edition spans a wide range of futures research approaches — from Delphi techniques and environmental scanning, to scenario planning, cross‑impact analysis, and participatory methods — each presented with histories, applications, strengths, weaknesses, and suggestions for evolution in practice.
The launch of the Spanish edition enhances global participation in futures research by making these foundational methodologies accessible to Spanish‑speaking scholars, decision‑makers, and students. It reflects ongoing efforts to broaden the reach of foresight tools and support more inclusive, multilingual engagement in shaping long‑term strategies and decisions.
