Applications are open for the Cruise School on Artificial Intelligence for Technological & Social Change, organized by the University of Genoa in collaboration with the Italy Node of The Millennium Project and other partners. The school will take place from January 22 to 29, 2027, across the Mediterranean Sea.
The Cruise School 2027 is an international and interdisciplinary academic programme exploring how Artificial Intelligence is transforming technology, organisations and society. Eight days of lectures, workshops, collaborative projects, international networking and Mediterranean travel in a unique learning environment at sea.
The academic programme combines a shared foundation with different perspectives on technological and social transformation, including AI, Data & Futures Studies, Technological Change, and Social Change.
Participants will engage in active learning through interdisciplinary Studio Projects, concluding with a Final Academic Showcase. Living and traveling together offers continuous opportunities for informal networking among researchers, faculty, and industry leaders.
The program is open to PhD candidates, Master’s students, researchers and postdoctoral fellows, university professors and staff, professionals and managers. and industry and innovation experts. Participants from STEM, social sciences and humanities are welcome.
