The Foresight Europe Network (FEN), regional network of The Millennium Project, invites members and external foresight practitioners to join the upcoming FEN Exchange on 24 September at 4:00 p.m. CET.
This month’s session connects directly with Global Challenge 1 of The Millennium Project, Climate Change, a core area of continuous research for the organization illustrated in the recent State of the Future 20.0 publication.
Centering on the United Nations Environment Programme’s report, Limiting Overshoot – Navigating exceedance of 1.5°C and pathways towards return, the meeting will address how—while limiting global warming to 1.5°C remains a cornerstone of the Paris Agreement—current policies and alternative near-term trajectories indicate that an exceedance of 1.5°C is now widely assessed as unavoidable.
Both FEN members and non-members are welcome to join this one-hour session to discuss the broader implications for Europe in the coming years.
The event will take place via Zoom on 24 September at 4:00 p.m. CET, and participation is open by registering at the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/PXu3Y6XmTzqqbu86phG8Bg
FEN Exchanges are monthly thematic meetings held every second Thursday of the month at 4:00 p.m. CET for one hour. These sessions offer an open space to connect, share updates, and explore key European foresight topics using futures and related methods. FEN is an open network of individuals active in futures and foresight research, education, and practice across Europe, serving as one of the regional networks of The Millennium Project.
