Foresight Masterclass CLA – Milan, June 30th

Following the 2024 masterclass in Naples, Sohail Inayatullah and Ivana Milojevic return to Italy for a new masterclass focused on the in-depth study and application of Causal Layered Analysis (CLA), a method that enables participants to explore complex issues from multiple perspectives and uncover deeper, transformative solutions for the future.

The masterclass is organized by the Italy Node of The Millennium Project and the Italian Institute for the Future Foundation, as a side event to the Anticipation 2026 Conference hosted by Politecnico di Milano. It will take place on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, at the FAST Conference Centre, Piazzale Rodolfo Morandi 2, Milan.

The masterclass spans a full day, starting with an introduction to the CLA method and its applications, followed by hands-on exercises in working groups where participants collaboratively analyze real-world issues. Attendees will engage in an interactive CLA game, exploring roles and perspectives to generate innovative solutions, and conclude with a reflective session on personal narratives and their role in shaping the future.

The masterclass is ideal for futurists, foresight practitioners, researchers, business consultants, coaches, trainers, managers, and representatives of non-profit organizations and institutions who want a practical, structured method to analyze the present and shape the future.
