International course on AGI challenge – July 12 – Dec. 6, 2025

Fundación Ética Visionaria, together with The Millennium Project and other partner organizations, has announced the 2025 edition of its international course series: Desafío IAG: Ética, Derechos y Ser Humano en un Mundo IA, from July, 2025 to March, 2026. This interdisciplinary program will explore the ethical, legal, and human implications of Artificial Intelligence, with a strong focus on foresight and global responsibility.

A key highlight of the program will be the participation of Jerome C. Glenn, CEO of The Millennium Project and Chair of the UN Council of Presidents’ AGI Panel, who will offer strategic insights on global foresight, ethics, and the governance of emerging technologies on October 4, 2025.

Other notable speakers from The Millennium Project network include Concepción Olavarrieta and Guillermo Gándara, Co-chairs of the Mexico Node (download presentation in .pdf), and Asanga Abeyagoonasekera, Chair of the South Asia Foresight Network (SAFN) and of the Sri Lanka Node, who will join the introductory day on July 12, 2025.

Soon after, Héctor Casanueva, Chair of the Chile Node, will host a lesson on “Ética, Derechos y Ser Humano en un Mundo IA” on July 19, 2025. Miguel Ángel Gutiérrez, Chair of the Argentina Node, will host a session on “Ethics, Rights, and the Human Being in an AGI World: A Multidimensional Analysis” on August 6, 2025. Luis Ragno, Co-chair of the Argentina Sub-node, will be joing the course on November 1, 2025 with a lesson on “Being Original to Avoid Irrelevance”. Concepción Olavarrieta, Vice-Chair of The Millennium Project Board, will join the course again on December 6, 2025 to discuss the Global Challenges of The Millennium Project.

The course has been extended into 2026 with additional sessions and group presentations.

More speakers will be announced soon. The deadline for registrations is July 31, 2025.

September 6: Conversación estratégica con los Escenarios IAG de la OCDE entre, with Guillermina Baena, Concepción Olavarrieta, Ismael Merlos, Ángel Ortega, María Elena Rúa, Martha Belalcázar, Alder Ugalde, Sergio Montero, Luis Ángel López, Jeanette Cardenas, Sofía y Gabriel y Jan Hurwitch.

October 4, 2025: Ethics, Rights, and the Human Being in an AI World: Toward the Global Governance of AGI, with Jerome Glenn.
