The 2025 Dubai Future Forum, held 18–20 November at the Museum of the Future, gathered leading futurists and practitioners to explore how accelerating global change is reshaping societies. Structured around the themes Exploring the Unknown, Empowering Societies, Reimagining Health, and Optimising Systems, the Forum encouraged participants to move between imaginative speculation and grounded strategic insight.
Ahead of the Dubai Future Forum, on 17 November, a group of Millennium Project representatives convened onsite in Dubai for the Millennium Project 2025 Planning Committee Meeting, chaired by Deputy Director Ibon Zugasti, thus meeting before the Forum for strategic discussions held online with the rest of the network.
On 19 November, Geci Karuri-Sebina, Co-Chair of the Southern Africa Node, contributed to “Collaborative Foresight: How Can We Create Strong, Lasting Connections?” DFF session, offering perspectives on how enduring relationships can strengthen futures practice across regions. That same day, Thays Prado, Vice President of the Foresight Europe Network, joined the session “From Inclusion to Innovation: How Are Youth Redefining Foresight?”, reflecting on how younger generations are reshaping the methodological and cultural foundations of the field.
On 20 November, Yadira Ornelas, Co-Chair of the Mexico Node, co-facilitated the workshop “Radical Change Waves: What Does It Take to Build Lasting Futures?” with Julienne DeVita. The session introduced a prototype seven-layer personal futuring framework designed to help individuals examine and navigate transformative change through a structured, introspective approach.
Additionally, José Cordeiro, Venezuela Node Chair, participated in the collateral Voices of the Future special dinner event in Dubai on the same night, engaging with global speakers and guests to explore emerging ideas and visions shaping humanity’s future.
Representatives of the Foresight Europe Network membership also held an informal gathering during one of the lunch breaks of the forum to exchange updates.
The Millennium Project’s contributions across sessions, workshops, and preparatory meetings underscored its ongoing commitment to fostering connected, globally informed foresight.
